Aegolius funereus

I am very thankful that I was invited with the birdringingstation 'Schlammwiss' to ring Boreal Owls / Tengmalm's owls in Germany (near Trier). It's a very good year for them and we have also some individuals singing in Éisleck, North Luxembourg! Togehter with the german birdringer Thorsten we found 4  females, ringed them, checked the winglenght and identify the age  (all second year old). The last owl had no interest to get ringed and flew out of his box which was very lucky for us and unlucky for the birdringer. We waited 10min if she's flying back and left the place.
