There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.

Biography

My name is Charel Klein,

a Luxembourg-born wildlife and nature photographer based in Vienna, Austria.

My connection to nature began early and eventually led me to study forestry and environmental sciences. Through this scientific background, I developed a deeper understanding of ecosystems, animal behavior, and the fragile balance of the natural world—knowledge that strongly shapes my photographic work.

My journey into photography started unexpectedly in 2010, when winning an amateur photo competition earned me my first DSLR camera.

What began as curiosity quickly became a lasting passion.

Shortly after, I discovered ornithology while visiting the Camargue in France. Since then, birds and wildlife have been at the center of my work.

Photography allows me to document fleeting moments in nature and share the beauty and diversity of wildlife as I experience it.

Today, my photography combines field knowledge, patience, and a deep respect for the natural environment. Through my images, I aim to inspire appreciation for wildlife and the landscapes they depend on.
